I watched Korra at the weekend, but I needed to vent the YJ stuff before posting about this show!

it was beautiful and I can't wait for the next episodes!

I'm not counting anime characters/shows in this meme, so Azula was definitely the best written female villian I've seen. She was more able than most adults in her world, and even more cruel.

30 Day Challenge; Day 2
Feb. 21st, 2012 12:23 amLol, second day and I'm already late with it!
Day 2 – Favorite Male cartoon hero/protagonist.
Ahh, this one was difficult! XD Most of the cartoons I watch, I end up liking the supporting characters more than the main character/protagonist. Or the show has an ensemble cast, where there is no clear main character. In the end, I decided on this little guy.
Given how much he had to deal with, and his young age, I think he was pretty awesome. I also liked that rather than caving in to what everyone else wanted him to do, he found a way to get the job done without going against what he stood for.
Young Justice will be back on March the 3rd! :D *weeps* We waited so long! But, not as long as the infamous 9 month waits of Avatar.
Speaking of Avatar, the graphic novel, The Promise part 1, is out now in the US I believe! Do not spoil me, we get it in two weeks from now!!!

My Beauty and the Beast DVD came over the weekend! :D Watched it, still love it. They cleaned up the DVD really well, better than the 2002 edition (which I didn't get, lol). Gaston is definitely more enjoyable now that I'm grown up, I really hated him as a kid. XD There was a lot of subtle stuff and background stuff that I never picked up on. Alan Menken's music for this movie still rocks my socks off.
BUT I NEED A BLURAY PLAYER SO I CAN GEEK OUT WATCHING THE EXTRAS! ;_; The DVD ain't got jack!

I had the final four episodes of Avatar left and decided to split it in half so I could watch it properly. Last time I was all OMGLASTEPLOVEYOUSOKKAEPIC!!! that I don't think I paid enough attention...

Re-watching stuff!
Sep. 18th, 2010 07:00 pmI opted out of my annual re-watch of Escaflowne and decided to go for something different. Mostly because I made the foolish mistake of watching Whispers of the Heart and Only Yesterday in one sitting without having Freakazoid or that Egg Baby episode of Batman of the Future on standby. In short, nostalgia + kinda bla YOUTH!! ;_; feeling = No Escaflowne for a few years now. XD
( So I decided to re-watch Avatar and Coffee Prince! )
Merlin's on soon!! :D Gotta fight for the TV though.

Cos it's just getting beyond silly now. This movie has been made. It's there. Unfortunately, no-one has invented time travel yet, so there's no undoing the fail. People who wanna go watch this movie will watch it. People who don't wanna watch it, won't. But please stop trying to get the fans that you pissed off back "on side" because it won't happen. By making lame excuses/reasonings like that, it's clear you don't know or don't understand exactly why they are upset. It's not the usual "fans of the original are upset again because a few things were changed". It's not them getting pissed off at the equivalent of "THEY MADE PETER PARKER'S EYES BLUE INSTEAD OF BROWN, UNACCEPTABLE!" It's a lot worse than that. You'd be better off focusing on the people who are actually going to watch it, and at least make it a decent movie for them.
Lol, I'm aware that M. Night (and probably most of my f-list :P) won't be reading that, but journal is for venting and venting is good for you! If I don't let it out, I may hit an unsuspecting (but totally deserving) commuter on the way to work.

AND NOW I CAN'T UNSEE IT! XD
Also, I've been catching up on season 3 of Ugly Betty. I still miss Gio, but I do think it'd be weird now if they got back together, so maybe it's best that it ended that way. He was fun tho! :) I think in all the Gio fangirling I did last season, I forgot how awesome Wilhelmina is. She just comes out with the most hilarious lines sometimes. "You've done well. I only went blind with rage twice today!" Marc and Amanda of course are always brilliant.
But show, if you hook up Betty and Daniel at the end, I will...well, there's not much I can actually do, but I will not be best pleased. I don't think there's enough wonderfully adorable and heartfelt platonic relationships on tv that don't end with the girl and guy ending up together. Guys and girls can be friends you know!!
