JJ IS NOT GOING TO BE IN IT. ;_; This may be because they are starting from the very beginning, and Peter won't have started working for the Bugle yet. BUT STILL. ;_; Of course, they could never cast anyone better than JK Simmons. NEVAH!



And, casting news for the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight Returns.



Tom Hardy, who was announced as part of the cast a while back, is playing Bane.

Anne Hathaway will be playing Selina Kyle.

Anne Hathaway as the new Catwoman. Hm. I don't know how I feel about this. I guess I'll just have to wait and see. Your thoughts?

I'm half and half on it really. Anne Hathaway's one of the few Hollywood actresses I like, she's good. But this franchise hasn't really been good with female characters, so I guess it depends on how they're going to portray her. It's a wait and see at the moment.

You've got a point with how female characters have been portrayed up 'til now. Though I think I may have to watch Batman Returns again, because I remember liking Michelle Phiffer's Catwoman as a kid. She did a good crazy, I thought. But it was Tim Burton, so who knows.

Ah sorry, I meant with Nolan's films! I liked Tim Burton's ones, Catwoman was pretty cool. With the newer Batman films, there's only been one female character of any importance, and she was fridged in the end. They've said Anne is playing Selena as well, not Catwoman, so it makes me wonder if she'll just be a love interest.

Oh, totally agree! I watch the Nolan films and wonder where the women are. But I've never liked Katy Holmes, so I didn't care when her character fried, even though Maggie Gyllenhaal taking over.

And as for Selena Kyle/no Catwoman: balls, I say! I hope they don't pull another Harvey Dent/no Two-Face, only because they've already done it. Once was enough.

We should've keyed into Nolan making everything more Psychological when Batman Begins came out. Who starts a franchise with Scarecrow and totally fails the character? I was very disappointed.
