Another post with more words than just LOL and "so funny!". XD I've watched quite a lot of dramas and stuff but forget to post about them, so here we go!

Still watching Fantasy Couple, it's so funny! Jang Chul Soo is so *_*! I love Billy's assistant, he's the funniest character for me.

I watched BOSS 2, which had gone through some cast changes since the last one. A couple of non-main characters got killed off, Toda Erika and the CSI lady were filming other dramas at the time so were written out of the show in the first episode and some new characters were added. It was pretty good, not as suspenseful as the last series, they went for more emphasis on the comedy side of the drama. Normally this would come off as pretty forced, but the cast all have great comedic timing. Even Tamayama Tetsuji, who I did not expect to be so funny. His comedy was often subtle and in the background, doing weird and awkward things which always resulted in Osawa slapping him upside the head. Amani Yuki was flawless as always, Takenouchi Yutaka was hilariously charming as Nodate (even though I have to wonder how he ever progressed in the ranks considering he spends most of his time planning the Nodate parties!). The new cast members fit in really well and it was nice to see that Hanagata had matured a bit. The 2PM cameo was jokes! Especially after when the boys tried to copy them. All in all, good sequel. It's the type of show that could come back again and again for as long as the cast and crew are willing.

Now, on the other 2! Hotaru no Hikari 2! LOVED IT! Didn't think it was possible to be funnier than the first one, but it totally was! Hotaru pouncing on Buchou with the same cry that people use when they're practising Kendo made me cry laughing. That, and the end result of Hotaru's future dream. She's so sweet, bless her. Ayase Haruka's the business, seriously. Even though at the start of the drama you should be feeling sympathetic towards Buchou, you feel sympathy for Hotaru, even though she was in the wrong! She's very good at portraying the innocence of Hotaru, there's never any malice in anything that she does. Buchou has been allowed to be a lot more comical this series (giving as many tsukkomis as Murakami Shingo!). He's also actually quite oblivious to other people's feelings, something he and Hotaru unknowingly have in common. The series showed that they both changed for the better while still remaining who they were as people, which I liked a lot. There's nothing horrible or offensive about being a "himono-onna" and there's nothing bad about Buchou being a stickler about some things. It was like they got rid of their bad habits that would cause trouble for other people, rather than change who they are to be loved. I relate a lot to Hotaru (probably more than I'd like to admit if I'm honest) so it's nice to see someone I can relate to on TV for a change! On a superficial note, Buchou looked hot! XD I believe the current Internet vernacular is "he could get it", yes? The love rival guy was a lot better than the rude creeper dude from last series. Sano may have been the precursor to Mukai Osamu's popularity surge, cos damn if he weren't charming in this! Buchou would have been in trouble if Hotaru wasn't so pure-hearted. And even then, he didn't have time to sit back! Great drama, awesome OTP, totally warmed my old icy cynical heart. Can't wait for the film!

Marumo no Okite. Otherwise known as the drama with the cutest kids in the world and you are going to cry every episode and ugly cry in the finale. ;_; Yes, I did cry every episode (even the happy ones) and ugly cry in the finale! XD Those are some talented children! It was nice seeing Nekota in a normal role, he's always playing weirdoes! The show is very, very sad. Especially if you're having or have had some issues losing a parent or family member so be warned! I loved that in this drama they showed that just because the kids didn't know stuff, didn't mean they were stupid. Children in fiction are often shown as annoyingly smart on incredibly stupid. This show had a nice balance. They're kids man, the reason they don't know or understand anything is because they have yet to learn or experience these things! It really hit home for me when Kaoru was hiding what she really wanted from Mamoru, I used to do that a lot when I was a kid. I also liked that they didn't show Mamoru as some flawless replacement dad and that both him and the kids had to get used to each other. He did a lot better than most people would have in his situation. Even if you don't like kids, this is an awesome drama filled with funny moments as well as heart-warming ones. The last ep will make you cry, you have been warned!

I watched The King's Speech finally, brilliant! King Firth and Queen Helena were awesome but Geoffrey Rush was my favourite. This film's not one I would recommend to everyone but I enjoyed it a lot!

Also randomly watched Despicable Me. Cute! Not groundbreaking or anything but very sweet and a good way to pass the time. I loved the minions, they were jokes! I totally didn't recognise Jason Segel as Vector! XD (He's so funny. ♥)

Saw the two SP films (from the police drama with Okada Junichi ♥), INTENSE HOLY CRAP! I didn't expect it to be that good, no wonder they had to split it into two films! And the twist with Okada's boss, daaaamn. Never saw it coming, honestly. Awesome film, but you definitely have to watch the drama first. There were a few unintentionally funny scenes during the parliament bit in the second film but good overall.

Another accidental film, watched Attack the Block after randomly seeing the trailer on YouTube. Surprised by how much I liked it! I am a bit sad that a lot of people will discover this film so long after its cinema release, especially after the riots this summer. I imagine a lot of "high horse" people will miss the social commentary and react like the old lady at the start of the film. :( Great casting and acting all round, especially since most of the cast were new! Was pleased to see authentic accents and accurate representations of kids from South London. XD I liked that they also showed that it wasn't the kids that were bad, but their environment that was turning them bad. I did also like that they showed that being kids did not excuse their behaviour and doing stupid things will get you into trouble you won't be able to get out of one day. Saying "but I'm just a kid" won't help you when that day comes. I think Pest was my favourite, but I liked Biggz and Moses too. Nice appearance from Nick Frost, as always! Slight warning to anyone outside the UK (or outside the M25 if I'm honest) you may need subtitles while watching this film. It's definitely worth watching, probably one of my favourites of the year!

Well, this post shall have to be split cos it got very long. XD TV shows including Castle ([livejournal.com profile] harmon_rook, I may have found a new show here for ya!), Bones, Community and the shows I stopped watching on the next post. XD
