Didn't expect this! XD

This is because the last issue of Ultimate Comics Spider-Man is out today.
I haven't got my copy yet, but Peter dies! :(
I'm of two minds about it. I'm pretty sad because this version of Peter Parker is the only readable one left. The 616 version has become such an annoying man-child thing that I can't even read it anymore. Kinda sad when you realise Ultimate Peter was more responsible at 16. XD Bendis gets a lot of flack, but I like his writing a lot. It's probably because I enjoy the "sit down and interact" parts of comics the most (which makes no sense I know) and he's always good with the dialogue and character interaction. Especially Spidey.
Having said that, this isn't the mainstream universe, it was created so that people who watched the first Spider-Man film (or first X-Men film) could pick up a comic book without being bogged down in history and also have the comics set in the current time period. If you're gonna kill off characters or make dramatic changes, this is the book in which to do it. The mainstream universe is still there, and while he may not be perfect at the mo, Spidey's alive in that version and probably won't ever get killed off (although I thought the same could be said for Nightcrawler XD). If you're gonna experiment, or do things you'd never dream of doing in the main canon, you might as well do it here.
I haven't read the Avengers part of the story, so I'm not sure what happened, but I hope Captain America gets a lot of shit from Aunt May for leaving Peter there to die after he saved his life! >:(
EDIT: I had to add this! ;_; This is making me tear up now, seriously. Full Article.

*off to watch funny vids on YouTube to stop the crying*
