I love Brave (and Batman) but OH MAN BRAVE!

You know a lot of feminists complained about it. One of the biggest argument was she had a good relationship with her father and a strained one with her mother which just continued to hold up the patriarchy. I seriously could not believe feminists complained about that. Some of the people who complained about it not being a pro-women story I really don't think watched it because they complained about stuff that just wasn't there. It is kind of ridiculous.

But as you mentioned, Merida did not get married at the end. The movie was not a love story. It was a mother/daughter story and I don't know about you but it felt very close to my mom and me. Actually, after I saw the movie I called my mom to tell her so. So she went and saw it and absolutely agreed.

And yes, the whole, not one being right and the other being wrong. I thought that was brilliant too.
